Chin Yoon Fatt is a CFA charterholder and graduated with a Master degree in Business Studies from Massey University, New Zealand. He started his career as an academic at his alma mater before his relocation to Malaysia in 2001.

In Malaysia, Yoon Fatt began his investment banking career with Rashid Hussain Securities Sdn Bhd’s
International Institutional Desk and later with Utama Merchant Bank Berhad’s Corporate Banking & Debt Securities team. He later joined the Corporate Finance team of RHB Islamic Bank, and subsequently moved to the Islamic Investment Banking Division of Hong Leong Islamic Bank. During his nine years in the Malaysia Investment Banking scene, he has been involved in various advisory, Islamic debt securities issuances and financing transactions, such as the Mukah power plant project, SESCO Corporation Berhad, Sarawak Power Generation Sdn Bhd, PLUS, Kuching Port Authority and the acquisition of the Indonesian Texmaco Group.

Yoon Fatt currently lives in New Zealand and runs his own business.
